after she walked out,
her mind left the manager, their
inability to communicate and launched
back towards the thoughts that usually
accompanied her, lofting dust, the boundaries
of space and cohesion of asteroids,
how do they hold together she ponders
as she rides the bike path home through
newly fallen snow and silence.
