thermometer wars

I just want to be well so I'll pick the
numbers on that second one,  the one he bought
today to check the first one, the one that says
I have a fever.
the second one says he's very cold, two degrees
below his regular temperature, the temperature of a
50 year old healthy male
if I can accept that, then I don't have a fever
and I can go to California and see my
granddaughter.
so I'll pick the temperature on the second thermometer
the one that says I'm fine.
