Boxers for Curtains


We wandered the fabric store,
our eyes roving over row by
row of baby dinosaurs, Chinese
dragon ladies, jacks and queens,
fuzzy ladybugs and gingham kittens.
She paused at one bolt,
fingering it carefully, then moving on,
whispering to herself, “Looks too much
like boxer shorts.”
