out walking the dog
beauty jumped out at me
the shimmer of ice
I wish I had been there to watch
the lightning speed at which the ice
raced across the liquid, so cold
that once those small crystals
of frozen water started, one
could hardly blink without
missing yet another amazing
natural show.
