and so,
and so Spring is pushing up
through winter's solemn colors,
revealing her brilliance, her rigid green
stems, her lilacs and goldens, her
spots and streaks.
let those who are somber slink into
the darkness for now,
the sun is rising and we are called
forth to celebrate the beauty of Spring.
