I was admiring her beautiful woven cotton skirt today.
she's very organic
and won't wear synthetic fabrics
they make her feel claustrophic.
have you ever seen the cotton workers
at mills and sewing machines,
gathering the piles to fill box cars,
they are all brown
from Bangladesh and Burkino Faso,
Romania and Arizona.
we sleep on cotton sheets
and wear beautiful cotton clothing
they drown in cotton.
