Angers and food

I bought this necklace at the Chateau at Angers.  I love to buy things tied to memories. The Chateau was breathtaking...so huge, so  complex in how it was built, over 400 years, the families, the dramas.
The food was mostly recognizable as yummy French - galletes, crepe, poisson..this was a new one.  Soft boiled egg in a split pea soup with bacon.  Flower blossoms on  top.

The garden topiary is well kept and LARGE.

and the story of the Apocalypse in the many panels of the tapestry.  This scene is of the city being destroyed due to evil.  St. John is watching from the left side.

Just to get a sense of the scale.  This is INSIDE the Chateau walls.

and this is a view of one of the outside towers, with the gardens.  We were not able to enter the gardens.
