A sense of doom

Every time I turn on the news,
I see the Opponent crowing about
victory, how change is coming, positively
beaming out optimism for the future,
and the American people love it.
Regardless of dour news anchors,
articles in the New York Times,
countless repeats by our Team about
how the American people will see through
the empty promises.
Everyone loves the pot of gold at the
end of the rainbow.
We’ll even walk the Bridge to Nowhere
to find it.
