I love my dentist

I love my dentist

I wanted the drill for the first time
in my life, to feel the rhythmic pressure
against my teeth, to hear the high frequency
whine in my ears, to be able to
close my mouth without my front
teeth pushing against each other,
to be able to chew normally.
I love my dentist.

I love 'em. All of them. Started with "What do you do?" - and question that has also puzzled me with its reactions -- and ended with "I love my dentist." More than the poems and their words, I love the idea of your chosen "exercise," thoughts dropped like an egg in a hot pan, waiting to see what the yoke will look like, what shape it will take. Don't stop.
